Sicily is an island surrounded by the Mediterranean sea, with many small islands and islets located between 10 to 150 miles off its costs. This geographic condition allow sicily to be positioned as one of the best shore fishing destination for the Mediterranean Sea and probably best place for shore fishing in Italy. Thanks to the numerous types of coastline, from deep volcanic cliff to shallow limestone flats, including drop off, desert islets, sea stacks etc, what is abundant is the number of species that is possible to look for when fishing off the rocks in Sicily! The predators in particular, like Barracuda, Bluefish, Amberjack, Grouper, Little tunny, Seabass, Dentex, Red porgy, Bonito, Dorado, Bluerunner and many others are not complicated to face, depending on spot and season during a Sicily land based fishing session.

Shore fishing in Sicily is possible also with bad weather, when no boats can go outside the port. Thanks to the islands structure there is always a chance to find an hotspot even if very bad weather and big waves. With our safety equipment, like helmet, lifejacket, spike boots, etc. it is an adrenalin and adventurous sport!

Is even possible to go Shore fishing for Bluefin Tuna in Sicily, on some particular spots and specific equipment, having the chance of hook the fish of a lifetime off the rocks!

Our favorite fishing techniques to catch predators are mainly spinning, shore jigging, soft baits casting, popping and similar. Artificial baits in short.
